Extended Reality Technology Research
Nadia received Arts Queensland's Individuals Fund to work on a first stage development exploring the possibilities of dance within extended reality technology (XR). It includes consultation and direction with industry professionals, an artist residency at Superordinary with access to VR hardware.
Nadia worked with Jaymis Loveday and Hans van Vliet to develop a custom built avatar using VR hardware and the unity program.
3D sparkles track the movements of the dancer and abstract shapes that are formed reflect the human body in motion. Different shades of purple sparking trails that emanate from different vive trackers on the body. The feet are the darkest shade, hands are lighter with the torso as the lightest.
